My 9-5 job is as a multimedia instructor at a distance education school. Our marketing website was in major need of an overhaul, so I decided to go with the newest web standards and to divide the design from the structure. There are in-sheet drop-down menus, CSS columns, and all sorts of delicious goodies that make it simple to update sitewide, which is essential.
Early 2006 brought a realignment of the CDED website. The top image at right is the new front page, followed by the original front page. A clearer focus is visible in this realignment, and the website has claimed higher visit lengths as a result.
With this design, I also got to finally sneak in the lime green which I've been dying to add to our corporate burgandy for aeons.
